
I simply love the combination of a protein shake and a good cappuccino early in the morning.
I'm normally a proponent of intermittent fasting, but after moving my training-session to the early morning I eat breakfast. After a workout my body needs a few nutrients and of course some good old protein!

But after finding myself not very hungry in the morning I found a delicious and easy fix. Instead of eating something solid I just drink a Protein-Cappuchino. This special type of beverage has enough protein to spike your MPS (Muscle Protein Synthesis), contains caffeine to keep you energized, is easy and quick to make and tastes awesome at the same time!
Recipe :
- Make yourself a decent sized cup of coffee.
- Mix 1 Scoop of your favorite whey protein powder with 200ml of water or milk.
- Wait until the coffee has cooled down a bit. Now pour the protein shake into your coffee until your mug is full (you can drink the rest of the protein shake on the side).
- Add additional sweetener if you need it.
Tips:
- Use a protein powder that will taste good with coffee. I usually use chocolate, vanilla or even coconut. Don't use fruity whey like strawberry or banana (at least if you aren't a freak)
- If you shake your powder well it will get foam. This will leave a nice layer of foam on your coffee.

Cool idea mate. I used to love throwing a couple of scoops of protein into my porridge in the morning to get a filling protein kick. i also couldn't function without a strong latte myself.
