Good evening my steemit people, today many of the people who have come to know me know about the appreciation and respect I have for animals, as a pet I have a Dalmatian dog that I named as dino name and that has shared With me for four spectacular years, I also have a parakeet called rocco and is responsible for waking me every morning with his funny whistle, because of the love that I have wanted to share with you real life story that has moved me not only to me If not everyone, except for animal lovers.
This is the sad story of Gustavito the last hippopotamus of the national zoo of El Salvador. The one that was attacked by a person without respect for the animal life causing its death.
Gustavito was a hippopotamus that every day left his pond to eat. However, for two days remained in the water without leaving and eating absolutely nothing, something that seemed strange to the caretakers of the park, after several hours could note due to his strange behavior that the hippo had several wounds in what they decided Act immediately.
Veterinarians and biologists joined forces for several days and long nights of work to try to save Gustavo's life, but despite the professionalism and special care of the doctors could not save him from the beating of which he was beaten.
According to the country's culture secretariat the hippo was brutally attacked by a person who for no reason decided to attack the animal.
Gustavito in spite of being the last hippopotamus, it was the second in his specimen of the zoo that attracted more public in its presentation in 2004 in which attended more than 25,000 people.
In the face of what has happened many people have expressed their anger by altering social networks claiming justice, while others have come out to the street to manifest causing much more outrage in all around the country.

Gustavito he was considered an "icon" to be the only hippopotamus in the savior. He was able to love thousands of people who came to visit him daily.
Although El Salvador is one of the most violent countries in the world, the death of this animal has had a great impact on the public opinion and in the communities of that country, being absurd and violent.
As an animal lover, I believe that we must make a radical change in the way these animals are treated, and in the way that zoos and parks are found. Today there are thousands of animals that are in danger of Extinction due to poaching since people do not take into account the seriousness of the matter and The treatment given to them in certain parks, zoos or circuses can become very cruel and devastating, all animals are considered as wonderful living beings , We must unite as people and demonstrate that change can be made, we protect not only them but also their fauna, so that they can live in a better world and in which animals take an important role in nature.
