Wreck-It Ralph (2012) Review

Because of the sequel coming out I was inspired to finally check out Wreck it ralph, the first one. Firstly, I was led to believe by basically everyone that this movie was about retro gaming, when it wasn't, it is mostly about modern gaming. And there is so much hype about this movie praising it and calling it brilliant. I saw it, and I don't get it. Yes it was a pretty good movie. About as good as the average Disney pixar movie. But it is definitely not as good as the hype says, there are a shit ton of Disney movies better than this. Compared to other movies it is very good, but compared to disney it gets lost in the crowd. And I don't know why adults are into this, I thought it was because of retro gaming but that is just not here. There are too many cringy poop jokes for this to suitable for adults, or at least for me. But I thought it was worth watching, I just wish it wasn't overhyped. But will I rewatch it? I doubt it.
