Chili pepper - Growing season #2. A quick update.
After transplanting my chili peppers outdoors, I noticed something was not completely OK with the plants. They started to show some very severe brown spots on their leaves. The weather was not perfect at all too. Some very strong winds came day after day, a lot of quick showers, followed by bright sunshine...
My initial thoughts were that there was some sort of fungus or microorganisms affecting the leaves, so the predictions were not very positive... but after some time, the weather got better, the temperatures rises a bit, and here are the results:
The pepperoncinos are growing a great deal of fresh new shoots and their yellowish leaves are now dark green.
Habaneros, Carolina Reapers and Moruga Scorpions are also growing new fresh leaves, and they tend to look better day
after day. Can’t wait to see them bigger and blooming soon!
Meanwhile the chayote squash grows healthy and looks good. I have nothing to compare its development with, because it’s my first attempt in growing these squashes. The plant started to grow its “tentacles” and starts to grow towards the close fence.
I really can’t wait to see what these plant will give me. Sooo excited.
See you soon!
