THE REGRET TRAP…PART 1

A very warm and a gentle greetings to all steemians ..It has always felt great having steemit connecting me with great people with amazing ideas..No wonder am gradually becoming a full time steemian.
Let me begin by asking all steemians this rhetoric question..Did you ever know that there are some things that really might seem common sense but they are the very things most of us put off until it is too late..?Interestingly l really don’t see how quickly time passes.Maybe there are some good sages here to help some of us to understand this in life.Because l still remember my days in Primary school and it seems like just yesterday…I hope you do too but how many years now?hahahahahaha
I get shocked sometimes to actually think that so will my retirement come which is going to seem like just yesterday.One of my Lecturers in University once told me that hes over sixty and all his classmates and former playmates are also in their sixtys and whenever they meet to talk he realises from their talk that most of them wish they had pay very much attention to certain things in life when they were younger.Hmmmm I truly understood him when he added that when you are in your twentys(20s) or thirtys(30s) being sixty appears such a long way of but the truth is it isn’t .You will actually be sixty before you know it..I wish l could get a steemian in his sixty to give a testimony to this…Maybe we can still have other sages who might not be in their sixtys but fairly matured to share their experience on this with me…It will hopefully be of much great lesson to some of us who may not still believe in some of these words...

In the hope of sharing and helping all technocrats here in this lovely family in other to #AVOID THE REGRET TRAP,I share with the entire house #Five Things To Regret at Age Sixty..Believe it or not this isn’t magic but truly works!!!!! I think if young ones like myself do these things now we will definitely ensure that our old age are going to be glorious and enjoyable especially having bond together as one family in this milestone journey.

#1 NOT MAKING THE MOST OF TIME..

Time they say is the raw material for everything and so if you waste time,you waste you life. Young people always think they have all the time in the world hence do not take time management very serious.In our sixtys we just going to look back and ask ourselves where all the sixty years have gone..You will possibly regret not making the most of time.

#2 NOT INVESTING/SAVING ENOUGH…
Isn't it easy so easy to be living in the habbit of living from hand2mouth without putting anything aside for the future?This is so realistic when you are young.I am at fault to this which l believe if not you there are people you know who live like this..This is true cos at a point in my life I decide that what am earning now isn’t enough and so l would have to wait till I get bigger income before l begin to save or invest. But the truth is with the little in adjustment in your expenditure and lifestyle pattern you can still save something…IT TAKES DISCIPLINE!!!! But if we don’t learn the discipline to save now that we we are earning smaller,we still cant be able to save/invest when we are earning bigger..I see some old people here in Ghana without hope and dignity because they never saved or invested when they were young…Lets get ourselves advised.

#3 NOT SPENDING MORE TIME WITH YOUR FAMILY…
Sometimes am tempted to put my family at last simply because am always climbing the cooperate ladder as a young man.Most of us here might be tempted in this same regard as well…Some of us even wake up early in the morning and return very very late when everyone is asleep making good names in the community…Weekends we are busy chasing money…Before we realise we are on retirement and find ourselves alone or lonely..I think if we don’t make time for our families they learn to live apart from us.In our sixtys we will definitely have all the time in the world and wish to see our families around us but they would not know how to fit into our lifestyle once we did not fit into theirs.

#4 NOT READING ENOUGH…
Good for us all steemians…Even though steemit has provided us with a platform where we find great ideas and make us read a lot..But there are other young people out there who are so busy that they seldom make time to read a book..Lets even come clean,how many books have you read from January till now?..l have read just two…You?Most of us have never read any book since we left school..In your sixtys you will realise the great harm you have done yourself by not reading enough and you will regret that very much.

#5 NOT CONTROLLING YOUR SEXUAL URGES…
Indeed young people turned to be simply controlled by their sexual urges instead of controlling them…Lol some young men here in Ghana can travel a very long way from one city to another just because theres a particular young beautiful girl he wants to take to bed.Some other people are always willing to jeopardise their health just to have a sexual encounter….It may results in looking back in our sexual escapades with much regret in our sixtys..My fathers once regreted. with the number of children he has with different women and wished he had sat down with just one woman…You will definitely regret to see the sexual diseases and wish you had get you nice flap zipped…
That’s just about it and this is where l leave us to ponder over the phase one of the regret trap…You may be good at observing these common sense but someone else somewhere needs this this to be successful in life..Lets share with ourselves..Everyone needs it..
