Let's Travel #1 : A Trip to The Lake....#travel

"Are you busy this weekend"?..He asked me when I stood on the phone for a while looking speechless and the long awaited answer was "No".....Here's the good news he added after knowing that...
I was invited to join my family once again for a gathering to witness a marriage ceremony of a relative and this was indeed an awesome journey made over the weekend which l wouldn't hesitate at all to share with my lovely steemians.
Did I simply accepted to #travel because I was going to see the Lake once again?or because l was going see some faces l have missed in a while....Maybe l was going to do what am doing now;sharing the experience with you here on steemit.

Oh Yes !!!!! It was a lovely but tiresome journey we had which comprises lots of different many domestic activities.
Since we seemed to have our route through Lake Bosomtwe,it was necessary to make a detour at the lake and then continue to a closest town of where the activity taking place...The whole family expressed joy all over their faces on arrival at Lake Bosomtwe...Its my third time of visiting this place and was surely the first of other members of the family and so you could imagine the excitement we caught.

Lake Bosomtwe

It still remains the largest natural man-made lake in Ghana situated in the Ashanti Region, close to the capital city, Kumasi. Am told the Lake is named after the sacred god of the people of the area of Bosomtwe. The people believe that the souls of their departed ancestors reside in the Lake and as such do not permit fishing on Lake Bosomtwe with any other tool but wood.

Lake Bosomtwe is estimated to have a diameter of over 8 kilometres and is with fish species of different kinds. Lake Bosomtwe is surrounded by many villages which we seemed to be visiting one and is a preferred holiday get-away in the region.

Music, outdoor picnics and swimming are very common activities at lake Bosomtwe on any day. Tourists and visitors are a common sight at the lake on weekends and holidays.But theres less patronage of this place during the rainy season due to the dangers involved.

And heres where the fun just began...We met a group of different people who had come to have fun as well..
But we had to be a lil real quick and leave the seen as it was just a simple detour we made then proceed to the nearby town for the purpose of our journey.
