Singaporean Desserts
Singaporean desserts and Dim Sum each have their specialities. Most Singaporean cakes are made using traditional cooking methods. One example would be the "nine-layer" cakes, another would be the rainbow sandwich cakes. Pineapple tarts are also pretty popular.
Today, I will focus on the nine-layer cakes in Singapore. In fact, it is also a snack that is eaten in traditional Chinese festivals. Today, their tastes have very Southeast Asian characteristics. Nine-layer cake is nine uniform pastries with frankincense. In China, the traditional ancestral holidays will commemorate ancestors with eating these cakes as part of the ritual.
