What are your favorite projects on #Steem blockchain?

Before now, I limited my view to DTube alone thinking that they are the only video platform on Steem blockchain, but my journey to explore DApps and Apps on steem blockchain has deeply proved me wrong. Please you really need to know about this wonderful project called 3SPEAK.

Lets talk about 3SPEAK

3speak is a newly introduced platform that provides a censor-free enabled environment especially for content creators that have been demonetized and deplatformed by what is known as ‘Silicon Valley’ maybe because of their political views and expressions, or maybe because the content they create is not appreciated and esteemed by the so called big tech media giants.

3SPEAK is a free to view project platform on steem blockchain which also rewards registered users who blends their content with cryptocurrency. As we speak, 3speak is now in ALPHA mode, I hope you understand what ALPHA MODE means; it means that there are some of the functionality of their system roadmap that are not yet fully integrated, yet as you’re reading this post, things are being worked on.

In 3SPEAK platform, they’re too prudent in making sure that all content provided meets their simplified guidelines, meaning that only content creators who are whitelisted by their scrutinize mechanisms can upload content to this platform called 3speak.

I love this platform so much because of the framework in accommodating everyone both crypto enlightened ones and the world of socialism in general, meaning that people can log in from their other social media platform accounts like Facebook, Twitter, tumblr, Steem, Instagram, Google and many more, but the simple truth is that one may need to open account with steem before you can earn from 3SPEAK.

Fo you think you need a guidelines?

First of all, one need to understand what 3SPEAK believe in and cherish which has formed their strong backbone, they believe Freedom of Speech is absolute for everyone. Nevertheless there are some instances where they would have to restrict content, but before we conclude in asking why, please for clarity sake below are their policies on what 3Speak stands for:

OFFENSIVE MATERIAL:

3SPEAK do not believe in this concept of "hate speech" as it is generally a broad subjective term, therefore they fully support peoples right to be offensive as long as it does not in anyway violate any of their very sensible terms (please see below).

CRITICISING RELIGION, BELIEFS, GROUPS, PEOPLE:

Absolutely fine for them, just have fun with your criticism hehe 😜

SWEARING AND PROFANITY:

Completely fine. Curse away. Insult anyone you want however you want...as long as it's not violating our terms (e.g. by slandering them)

JOKES:

Anything goes. If you are making a joke which could be construed as something illegal or slanderous, it might be a good idea to make it clear. For example, making a rape joke or a joke about genocide is perfectly ok, as long as you aren't calling for people to really be killed or harmed in any way. They believe making light of horrific things serves to assist them in being able to deal with them better.

CHALLENGING THE ZEITGEIST:

Absolutely fine. If you have alternative views, this is exactly what this platform is for!

PSEUDONYMS:

Yes, you can use a pseudonym for your channel. There are times it is useful to be anonymous.

VIOLENCE:

You cannot call for violence against the person, property or animals. Freedom of speech does not mean you can issue threats to harm anyone, and this is one of the few reasons the forum would decide to remove you.

Now this is what makes 3speak different:

3speak maintains and believes freedom of speech is absolute, and they fully support this at all times.

Their system utilises Steem blockchain to host the content and AWS to host all the actual videos, technically mean that it cannot be arbitrarily removed. By this, it is meant to protect the content creators, and themselves, from ad hominid attacks.

3speak value their content creators so much that they will never put a corporate advertiser over their content creators. For example, if an advertiser doesn’t want to place his or her adverts with them just because they provide a platform for a content creator that he/she don't like, hmmm, well in such case it’s just too bad, which means they may have to live with it, or try elsewhere.

Remember like I said earlier, content creators that will like be whitelisted fast are for example: - people who have been rejected, deplatformed or maybe demonetised from centralized or other social media channels but have not in anyway broken any laws with their content, take for example; political commentators.

Another group that likely to whitelisted are crypto influencers who have been ejected or shut down by social media bans on cryptocurrency or blockchain related.

Others could be political activists that have been silenced for their beliefs and ideologies.
