RELIGION AND RESPONSIBILITY CONFLICTS

in #africa9 years ago (edited)

Welcome to my blog, am happy to see you visiting, steemit is an opportunity that every one must take to change this world to a better place and that we must do.

Most people of great thoughts and solutions who lacked a platform to be heard has finally gotten a fair share to speak right into their world for change.

Our fathers use to say that there is power in the tongue, till tomorrow that saying is true and indisputable.

Following our previous deliberation on how to help Africa in her quest and urgent need for survival and development which eluded greater percent of her countries irrespective of her great religious influence and claims to be more closer to God, a question was thrown in as a result of that deliberation which says;
WHY IS IT THAT AFRICA PRAY MORE BUT SEEMS TO LACK MOST IN THE WORLD?

You may likely need to visit that great post and see how passionate and sincere that people were in bringing great answers to the challenges facing Africa as a result of religious misconducts and misconceptions.

We will try as much as possible to deal with this issue of religion being one of the stumbling blocks to Africa and her development which you are entitled to air your own view on the matter in the comment section bellow.

The answer is very simple yet highly hidden to majority who has falling to fanatic woes religiously without the ability to think freely.

Here is the bitter truth; Africa is a continent with great and innumerable riches from God whom they believed but Africa is sitting on her treasures because of religious brainwashing, Africa has replaced her responsibilities as a nation with religion which is a mockery of everything she does. Look at western world which most of the religions of the world came from, they are not as brainwashed religiously as Africans who think that through prayers God can descend and mine their coals for them, force them to be educated as they should or even help them prepare their breakfasts, where is that sense of responsibility found in other race and people of the world, are they not religious too? Yet they were able to draw a line between their responsibilities as human, religion, and God.

Some of us may not understand how a preacher of the gospel like me who should be promoting religion is rather castigating it, yes by God's grace I am a preacher of the gospel and that is what I'll do, I don't play religious politics, I don't even subscribed to any religion but rather I love telling the truth.

Africa can be said to be suffering the aftereffect of slavery, during the era of slavery and colonization in Africa; Africans were left with their fate and they were convinced that God is aware and that he sanctioned what they where passing through, religion were handed over to them and they were made to trust God who will eventually wipe away their tears in haven after their death as a result of their faithfulness unto suffering. It is better we disclose these hidden truth so that we know how to tackle our problems, so today you find a nation after so many years of freedom of her countries which still live in religious dreamworld where God is left with man's responsibilities.

Africa wake up! Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. (Gal 6:6-7, KJV)

If we leave the responsibilities that God has given unto us in developing our continent then we'll forever live in shamble. Take look at this; So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. (Gen 1:27-28, KJV)
So we can see that God has finished his own job from Genesis, therefore our problem can never be solved in churches and mosques.

LETS BRAKE AND SEPARATE RELIGION AND OUR RESPONSIBILITIES TODAY

The line of thought that brought us to this conclusion is never personal but as a result of repeated signals from great minds and free thinkers like you and I who opened up with answers to the above question, lets even see some of their comments.

This one was coming from @cryptonfused and he wrote:

While I'm not from Africa, living in north Africa for more than 5 years, I am well aware of the many problems which plagues Africa.

I would not say that prayers or a belief in a particular God are contributing factors to Africa's problem. I do think religion has its place in Africa; however I dont think prayers are solutions to Africa's most serious concerns. I think critical thinking as to how we can solve those problems and then working towards solving them will prove to be more effective.

While prayers will not solve Africa's problem, it has also proven to be effective at building one's confidence and giving one hope to continue to fight all odds and go through life's struggle.

It is possible to both pray and work hard towards a better future for all. The problem though is coming together to realise a common goal but Africa is divided by religion, tribalism among others. To realise the things which are dividing us and by tolerating each other's differences, can we work together to enact positive change.

Then @sweetestglo-eu wrote:

Our sense of reasoning as Africans are being clouded with things that are unimaginable ,people are being indoctrinated, you can imagine where a pastor would ask the congregation to eat a certain grass to receive healings or what sort, I am a free thinker also , a controversial person who believes in God but I wouldn't want someone to shove their beliefs down my throat... If Africans can channel their praying energy towards empowering themselves , developing new idea, we are richly blessed with intelligence and resources, trust me if we all channel the time we use in praying every minutes to bettering ourselves, this continent will be emulated. I didn't relate we shouldn't pray but there is time for everything. Nice post Nice post

Finally but not all, @obafemiaj wrote:

The question we should ask ourselves is "do we pray the right way?" . Do we live in accordance to the will of the lord? .

Ive been to different countries in africa, based on my experience i would say , prayer is not the answer to our problems, it is the mindset of the people, we all lack critical thinking, i believe in work and prayer.

We tend to focus more on prayer which we arent even doing correctly then still leave the work to God, how then do we move forward?

These some of great points raised from great and concerned steemians, and from all the indication it is very clear and obvious that the people that can really change our world for better in all ramifications are steemians! Take my word to the bank because i can prove it beyond any reasonable doubt which is clearly seen in steemit decentralized system of economy.

Thanks for reading, please good friend don't go without dropping a comment no matter how brief, it will help me know you showed interest and will also help me share from your view which will enable some dimension of improvement on my articles.
