My daily rambling on cryptos...
Today was discount day for crypto. The closure of Bitconnect may have pulled the market down but it looks now to be recovering pretty well. I was not at my computer when the market found a bottom, a low of $9500 for bitcoin, but currently at $12,000.
I realized that in crypto one can day trade and earn a decent return. The drops are significant in percentage, this last one down almost 40%. Forget mining going straight into trading lol. I need to come up with a strategy on how to capitalize better on these swift turns. The token Tether held well throughout this downturn so it may be beneficial to have some in the portfolio for days like today.
Steem finally surpass the value of SBD. I think many Steemians knew this day would come, but just not sure when.
I definitely am not holding my SBD for too long and will use it up pretty soon. @cfminer is having his 2nd crowd funding on building a mining rig to earn SBD. A cool idea that I participated in the first funding. Now I am saving a little over 20 SBD for this second fund. I suggest readers to check it out. The idea is invest SBD to @cfminer and he builds a computer rig and mines the most profitable coin at the time. @tipu has setup an automated system that will payout to all investors per a percentage total of the reward based on how much each invested. I am a bit surprise that Smartcash have been green all day admit all the carnage in the crypto world today.
Simply amazing and to all Smartcash holders congrats on the price rise. May Smartcash continue its rise. I can not believe it now will cost almost 2 bitcoins to buy 10k Smartcash and run a Smartnode. That is over $20k! I will have a uphill battle to face to get to 10k Smartcash for sure.
So admit all the red in the crypto world today I started investing in NEO. I got in around $120 / coin and bought a fraction of a NEO. Hope this coin continues to rise. The benefits of smart contracts and the new tokens running under NEO may likely boost NEO's price. Also great to have a passive income, GAS, when just holding NEO.

BTC is getting smashed. Stop Loss orders are part of what is causing this. A lot of people set stop-loss orders just under $10K (they used 10 as a psychological "I'm out" point). The question is is there anything fundamental driving this market?
Yeah it will be interesting to watch how btc reacts from here on. Hard to say if fundamentals are supporting this market. On one hand bitcoin is the first crypto so a lot of development and many people are familiar with it. The other side is there are many coins far superior to btc but cost a lot less than btc probably because people are unfamiliar with them. I feel the crypto market is still in its infancy so prices will fluctuate dramatically up or down in search of its true value. Thanks for stopping by.
