Flying is cheaper than driving?
Today I was chatting with a coworker and learned that he would take a week vacation in April. When I asked him where he planned to go he said Shanghai. I was surprised knowing that China is half way around the world. One week was definitely not enough. Yet he said his family of five all for under $2k roundtrip airfare that included taxes and fees. And each person got one over sized luggage and one carry on. I said, hold up?
That is $400 a person! Looked at the distance, about 7,250 miles rounding down! That equates to a little more than $0.056 a mile. Now I could not even imagine how airplanes could earn back money just by offering tickets at those rates but when I searched myself indeed around April the round trip cost between Boston to Shanghai could be bought for under $400.
Airline offering such a cost? Air Canada! Home of were crypto taxes are zero to none. Rich bastards giving great flight deals too. Another reason to jump the borders...
