I got a new vintage lens (Konica Hexanon AR 40mm f/1.8) a week back or so and needed a test subject. So my cat volunteered .. sort of. I believe this lens will work perfectly for product photos as the focusing ring allows you to focus more accurately in the close area.

Most cats had short hair until about 100 years ago, when it became fashionable to own cats and experiment with breeding.
