... decision of investment buying Steem Tokens. Before I start my experience I want to mention that all of this happened to me before the Steemit/Hive and Justin Sun Controversy. This happened to me one year before during the crypto bloodbath.

So here I go, inspired by accumulating Steem Power and growing my influence on Steemit by increasing my voting power, I decided to invest on Steem which seemed like a good idea at the moment and decided to buy 7000 dollars (1BTC)worth of steem and Power UP my purchase. Steem at that time had a value of $2.23 which gave me 3100 Steem power approximately. Well the rest is History and I knew I was screwed and my investment was gonna go to Hell when @ned as a CEO of Steemit started posting Videos of him playing the guitar instead of giving certainty and calm to the community during the terrible crisis we were facing with the value of cryptocurrency going down while also Powering Down all of his Steem Power on the Platform.

Now the steem price is between 0.10 to 0.30 and my Steem account value is 83 Dollars compared to the 8100 when I made the investment(I had 2000 SP addtional to my investment). What did I learn? You can lose it all in the crypto market and this happened to me, betting on projects that where doomed with its leadership and lack of communication. So what am I doing now? I’m taking all my Steem Power I had and turn it into APX (Approximately 20k APX) and Power UP. Right now I have nothing to lose with a project like Appics that is just starting but showing lots of potential and slowly increasing its value. Also in my opinion Appics has a solid team with strong leadership .I purchased Steem on the worst moment since the price curve on steem was starting to go down and also @ned was secretly planning to sell the platform not caring at all for its investors.

Right now we don’t know for a certainty what will happen to Steem and Steemit and Im really hoping for the best and that it will rise again with its new leadership. However,now my bet is on Appics and maybe one day, though I don’t have any expectations maybe I will recover my 7000 Dollar Investment, this project is legit and solid.

I’m not ashamed to say that I’m one of the people that need Crypto and Blockchain education to know how the market works and know when its a good time to invest. It was my fault and my responsibility that lead me to buy 7,000 dollars worth of steem and lose my money.

My advice to any social media project on the blockchain looking for money from brands and investors would be that these companies will need to have all the information and education on blockchain and cryptocurrency on social media projects before investing and potentially winning a lot, but also the risk of losing all their investment if they are misinformed or dont know of the potential risks. Anyway, this is my story with my experience buying steem and a lesson that I had to learn the hard way. I hope you have a great Weekend.
