Milestone: Just exceeded 500 Steem Power

On My Way

About six months ago, in June 2017, I began my journey with Steemit. Today, I have a notable marker along the path.

500 Steem Power!

Early on, I did buy some Steem and power it up, so not all of that is from Post Rewards. If you can, it does help to purchase some Steem when first starting out. It doesn't have to be a lot, but it makes you feel more invested in Steemit. You are less likely to leave and not come back because you have that Steem Power.

For a period of a couple months in October and November, I was not very active on Steemit. I read, commented some and upvoted others, but I didn't post any articles for quite a while. Now that I've gotten through a tough time, I'm back and writing more.

My Upvote is Worth More

It's a great feeling to be able to click that upvote button on a post or comment and be able to give someone else a sizeable tip. If I've calculated correctly, my full upvote is worth about dollar due to how much a Steem Backed Dollar is worth now.

I'm grateful to all the people who gave me a warm welcome here. I've learned so much in the last six months. I look forward to the next part of this journey.

Steem On!

Very cool! Congratulations.

Have you ever checked out steemnow.com? It allows you to input your username to find out a bunch of stuff--like how much your upvote is worth at the moment, what percentage your voting power is at, and by-the-second updates on who upvoted your posts, and what rewards you have received.

Thank you!

Yes, I have used steemnow.com in the past. Thank you for the reminder. I just checked it out again. It's a very helpful web app.

I know how you feel... Just today I got two votes, one for 8.00 and another for $17.00 -- in Steem for each... That's about 2 months worth of me posting, curating and upvoting to earn that much. Keep Stackin' and Keep Steemin!

@matthewdavid you're a great guy. Thank you for your help. I wish you to achieve double in few months. You deserve it!

Thanks Irina!

congrats! here's some more.. upvoted!:)

I supposed to buy few Steem too from my own pocket when I joined and that's the time I discovered the blockchain fee increase so I did not buy haha. Now I always use my SBD earnings to buy Steem and Power Up. I only cashed out a few. :)

I use my SBD to buy Bitshares, but STEEM is also an excellent choice.

Ah I buy STEEM using my SBD earnings and sell few STEEM to BitShares too. :)
I want to sell Steem to ETH via Binance too to buy IOTA, EOS, etc. :)
Steem FEE is lower than SBD that's why I always sell Steem not SBD :)

Please vote back my friend

[matthewdavid] thanks! have a nice day!
