Specificity of the scimitar

The Scimitar, like any weapon, when striking blows is struck by centrifugal force, tends to "break free" from the hand.
Therefore, in order for the fighter to be able to do more chopping strokes longer, even in a state of fatigue, very sophisticated measures were taken: the handle fully covered the lower part of the palm, forming specific extensions ("ears"), and sometimes continued with the second hand, which was located at all perpendicular to the straight part of the blade.

Blade and handle had a variety of decorations - carving, incisions and engraving. The scimitars were kept in sheath and rushed around the waist like daggers.
