Kamchatka crab
The Kamchatka crab (Latin Paralithodes camtschaticus) is in fact no crab. It is an animal of the type of hermit crabs of the Craboid family.
It refers to crabs: representatives have an external resemblance to crabs (Brachyura), but are easily distinguishable by a reduced fifth pair of walking legs and an asymmetrical abdomen in females].
Kamchatka crab is one of the largest crustaceans in the Far East.
Kamchatka crab serves as a fishing target. In the middle of the XX century, this species was intentionally planted in the Barents Sea.
