BEHIND THE CODE show #2 - Database tables explained on SUUUPER EASY example

in #dtube5 years ago (edited)

In the previous episode, I've explained with simple language what advantages of using database over file are. Now, when we can agree on the need of databases, let's take a quick look into how such simple database is organized and divided in TABLES.

It's important to always know your audience. I've seen it countless times during my studies when lecturer or advanced software developer doesn't understand the level of his audience and his complex explanations are just way too much. The whole lecture and everyone's time goes out of the window to waste. And noone likes to waste time, right?

The ideal audience for these videos are people without any technical background who are interested to understand how stuff works "behind the curtain". These videos might also be helpful for computer science undergrads.

Let me know what the next topic should be and what's of your interest :)

You know, you are learning some great stuff so that you can get into a good career. The fact that the blockchain is inspiring you to share it with others is something else. What you may not realize is that the learning to teach is a whole new level of valuable.

Keep killin it nephew!

it is mate :) DIY is more than building houses ;)
YOu explained very well how things work to motivate people for doing their database stuff themselves :)

Peace!

Super cool series mate! Please continue with this #awesomediycontent!

I am working with databases in my job and I know some deep SQL stuff already so I thiiiink I don't need much of education here.
But I think - no I know - your lessons can teach a lot of users here and you deliver some good value with this!

Peace!

Nice..I'm actually surprised how many people know bits of IT stuff here and there...It feels that those times when everyone needs to understand it are really coming :)

Lol naaah I don't think so mate. Here are so freaking many people with no clue about databases, programming, deeper IT knowledge, ready to learn something. Blockchain was a new thing for almost everyone but programming is way too deep for many of those.

The fundamental knowledge you are giving is gold for the average. Keep doing it man.

Btw: Did you ever looked into python? I started to learn it some months ago to program some steem-stuff :)

Peace!

Hmmm I guess you're right..but I feel it'll come sooner than later :)

Hah yupp I've done..the sentisteem posts I post regularly are based on an algorithm which was developed as my master thesis - all in Python :) also that refugee app I told you about has whole backend written in Python.

Hah I've also tried some steem coding :) but then got stopped by the HF20 as I didn't want to put any SP to my bot (back then I had only like 300sp myself)..soo you're using steem-python module I guess, or? What do u want to build?

Sorry for the delay, but thank you for showing your support to our #PowerHouseCreatives community in the 20K delegation dpoll contest last month. You were entered in my "Show @steemitbloggers your support in the 20K delegation contest, enter to win 1 Steem!" contest, and you've won a @Tipu tip on your most recent post (so, this one... 😂). Apologies again, and most importantly...
