CONSISTENT HOLY WALK AND LIFE BEFORE GOD #1

When a person comes to know the Lord at Salvation, he has only begun a life-journey of living the Christian life and walking unblameably before the Lord. All through ages, God has had faithful witness who is godly and righteous. Example of such individual is Enoch as recorded in Genesis 5:22-24. He was so consistence in his holy walk and life before God that he was translated.
Another individual is Abraham who walked consistently with God, his life pleased God so much that God called him his friend.

The subject of consistent holy walk and life is an all important one in times like this. A careful look at the prevalent situation in our times reveals that a number of believers who were consistently holy in their walk and life before God are now lukewarm.
the love of many are waxing cold because of the love for worldly things and many have denied the faith for economic survival. God is holy, He desires that Christians would manifest consecrated, sacrificial,and holy walk before Him.

A body offer to God in sacrifice will not have pleasure in the practice of sin. Rather it aspires to daily practice holy living which is the ultimate longing of the soul. A genuine Christian has to live as Christ has designed and must be diligent to maintain the Christ like walk and life.

CALL TO CONSISTENT HOLY WALK AND LIFE
The Christian walk and life has standards revealed by God. It is not a carnal walk. A member of the body of Christ will know that God has called us unto holiness and righteous living.

for God hath not called us unto uncleanness but unto holiness
1 Thessalonians 4:7.

God's command for a consistent holy walk and life before Him is abound by the scripture.

But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation.
be ye holy for I am
1 Peter 1:15-16

Christ, while on earth, obeyed his father in living a life of consistency. That is why it is imperative that the believers must follow His steps.

he that saith he abideth in Him, ought himself also to walk even as he walked.
1 John 2:6

He who does not live with Christ on earth
in holiness cannot live with Him in heaven.
The believer is to conform to the total image of Christ in love, mercy, judgement, forgiveness, humility, holiness, meekness, grace, patience , onedience, gentleness and the totality to the Christian walk as contained in the scriptures.

Holy walk and life is the firm foundation for effective ministry that makes us dependable instruments for His work and ministry.
