Yeah, this style doesn't fit with DBZ at all for me.
But I think Buu was too much of a goof for me. I found Freeza much more interesting. Though that saga was plagued with fights being drawn out for waaaay too many episodes :p
I always thought the thin, evil Buu was kind of creepy, but I agree Freeza was a nice saga. Way too long indeed though! Like 10 episodes to load up an attack :D

Buu from DBZ. Just that this "realistic" style does not fit it at all

Yeah, with a ton of screaming. At least it's not like other anime, where over half the episode is explaining what happened before and/or flashbacks.
