The elevators installed in the Khalifa Tower are one of the fastest elevators in the world. They can reach speeds of up to 18 meters per second. In total, the building has 60 elevators, but from the first floor to the last can only rise office. Therefore, visitors and residents of Burj Khalifa need to move on different elevators, with transfers between floors.
