Today Was A Weird Day
When I woke up this morning I had no idea most of the day would be shrouded in mist...
I was shocked this morning at the weather. It was warm!! For a while now, we've had under 20 degree weather. Today it got into the 50s and it felt so hot! It caused my beautiful mountain home to be a tad weird outside. When I checked social media (before looking out the window) this morning I was surprised to see schools on a two hour delay. When I got up and looked out the window the world was covered in fog.
By 12:00 PM the Fog Was Still There
It rained yesterday when it was still cold outside. Then today it rained more but the temperature went up. I guess this caused a fog that wouldn't go away. It's understandable why schools were delayed. The fog on windy mountain roads in rainy weather is dangerous.

Eventually the fog went away and the sun came out...
By 5 PM The Sky Was Blue But We Were Covered In Shadows.
My house is on the side of a mountain surrounded by other, taller mountains. By 5 pm the sun is hidden behind the mountains and it grows dark in my world. Even in summer when we have longer days, the sun hides behind the mountains leaving us in shadows by 6 pm each day.
I've been busy today so I tried a new easy boxed meal for dinner...
One of those meals you throw everything in a pan and bake...

My mouth broke out in blisters after I ate it. I assume I am allergic to something in it. Since I have no food allergies I have no idea what...yet another weird occurrance today. Guess that was a failed experiment.
As I write this my husband is asleep on the couch. He started talking in his sleep.
He randomly said "I'll get to it" in his sleep....I have no idea what he's dreaming about. He usually forgets by the time he wakes up. Last night he had an unintelligible conversation in his sleep. His words were muffled and slurred....No idea why he's talking in his sleep. It's weird. Funny and amusing to listen to but weird.
It was foggy around here too. I like the fog.
Being a ghost I imagine the fog is perfect to be invisible in for you. :)

We had these weird yellow orange skies at around 4pm a couple weeks ago. We live on a 4 acre property that is home to 6 people in individual units. The property is on the less-sunny side of a foothill. The owner/our good friend/our landlord told us that when the sun comes through the clouds at the perfect angle, and there is a certain type of fog, we get this color. I wish I had taken a photo. It was one of the oddest skies I have ever seen. Very beautiful though.
I was also just in Florida - and it was colder than my mountain town the whole time... The blizzard on the east coast came all the way down. Very strange weather these days. So many huge disasters and weird weather patterns. Never seen anything like it.
Nice shots! Mist and fog are some of my favorite conditions for photography. Fog, especially, can turn the ordinary into something magical.
Usually I do not like the cold but how beautiful the places look when there is fog, I have sun or is priceless, very nice photos, greetings from venezuela, I like to see your photos so I know a little more from other places and landscapes that can not be seen here
I love foggy mornings but not so much when it is foggy and misty all day
I think were a couple of days behind you weather wise, supposedly on thursday will be warming a bit and friday in the 60's will be nice after all the freezing temps and snow we have had
