Architecturalphotography - Cuxa Cloister -
Hello Steemians! This is my contribution for the #architecturalphotography initiated by our dear friend @juliank.
~ The Met Cloisters ~
~West Elevation Of West Arcade: Cuxa Cloister~
From the Benedict’s monastery of Saint Michel de Cuba, near Perpignan, France.
The Cloisters Collection, 1925 (25.120.398-.954)
The medieval elements that are incorporated into this cloister all come the abbey of Saint Michel de Cuxa, constructed under its Abbot Gregory between 1130 and 1146. The capitals are carved; the planes are simple and defined; and the figural motifs , provide strong visual support for the abaci and arcading above them.

Believe or not, but this is one of my favorite type of architecture Dear Maru. I am totally mesmerized by the aged beauty of the stone and the craftsmanship that seems to hold some kind of magic and mystery from he past. Thank you for shraing it with us 🌸💖🌸
Really! I am so happy you like it! I have more pictures of the Met Cloisters, I will post them one of these days!
I would love to see them my Dear 💖
