A new logo for Songbird
Hello,
I would like to present you my design for an open source project called Songbird. It is a simple CMS created Symphony Full Stack.
Symfony is a set of PHP Components, a Web Application framework, a Philosophy, and a Community — all working together in harmony.
Songbird was made to show fast development fith Symphony and also reduce the learning curve,
I decided to create a new logo for this project, because their old one is a little humdrum and outdated.
Details
I started with sketches. There are lots of possibilities of drawing birds. I wanted to include letter "S" inside and draw some interesting bird shape.
When I had some idea I could draw it in Corel Draw.
I wanted colors to be bright and fresh, in nice unison, so I selected turquoise and violet. According to the shapes I selected also suitable modern font. The text is in neutral color from used gradient.
The logo is nice also in one color variant and I made also an icon in more variants.
Benefits / Improvements
The new logo is fresher, more original and modern. It can be used as an icon too and represents the name.
