Hey guys I'm back with more photos and this time it will be also with a short story.
First of all I want to thank you all for all the nice comments and upvotes in my last blog HOMELAND.
I'm really thankful for all of that!  

- The Story -

Seeking the Light

Already 4 years ago and I remember it like it was yesterday. I called my good friend Boris if he's interested into going with me hiking to our National Park "Mala Fatra" that we will take a tent and sleep over on top. He said yes. Fast we packed up, went to buy some food and whiskey so we stay warm ofcourse only in our minds and we good to go. We didn't plan anything, we didn't check the weather, we just wanted to go out no matter what. So we dru to the place, park our car and started to walk. The weather was not good. Fog was just everywhere, it was really cold and windy and I was just thinking of getting on top before sunset to take some nice pictures. I was praying for being above the fog to have epic view on the landscapes. We had 3 hours of walk in front of us with heavy bags on our backs. After hour of walking we are arriving to a mid point of our hike. It looks like the fog is breaking a part so my thoughts where if we manage to be on top before the sunset the view will be epic! We had almost 2 more hours of walking to the top but the sun was setting really fast. I was worried we are not able to make it before the sunset. We tried are best and came to the top just in time we had some light left. I was disappointed. There was nothing around us to see, the fog was just all over the place. We decided to build the tent fast before dark. Boris asked me : - Martin do you have poles from tent in your bag ? My answer was no! We new right away we left them in the car. I took out my tripod and tried to support our tent with it. We also forgot the top layer of our tent so we had a hole in the upper area of our tent whole night. That night it could be easily -20C . This was the longest night in my life! YES we made it thru the night. I woke up to see the sunrise. At least I was hoping when the sunset was epic fail that the sunrise could be good if the fog will break in the morning. No, it was another disappointment. What can you do, it's the power of mother nature. We just have to accept it and try next time. We packed our stuff and started to slide down on our butts. In one moment I saw light coming thru the fog. We started to run towards the light. The sun is breaking thru the fog making beautiful sceneries. We sat down and where watching this beauty. The best moment in our lives. We didn't care if we where cold and had the worst night in our lives. We just enjoyed the moment we had only few minutes. After the fog broke and the blue sky came out we had big smiles on our faces. We where just happy and calm. This was the best experience in my life. We enjoyed the rest of our walk to the parking lot. I'm happy guys I can share my story with you. I'm so thankful I started to photograph our beautiful world and have these experiences of my life!
