Each of everyone of us is hypersensitive about our own sense of personal value and importance. Psychologist tell us that everything we do is either to build our self-steem or to protect it from being torn down by other people. How we feel about ourselves or how much we like ourselves is largely determined by our own self-image or the way we see and think about ourselves. We determine by the way we behave, talk, walk, and interact with others. If we think other people like, respect, and admire us, we see ourselves in a positive way and we enjoyed higher feelings of self-steem and self-importance.

If we feel we are well liked and popular and someone treats us in a rude or disrespectful way, it can be shocked to our self-image and lower our self-steem. On the other hand, if we see ourselves as an average person and the people we meet treat us as though we are a valuable and important person, we can experience a positive shocked to our self-image that causes us to like and value ourselves even more.
Our destinies are determined by our interactions with others and theirs with us. We learn who we are and know about ourselves only through interacting with other people.

That's right we learn more about ourselves when interacting with others. Other people, especially our true friends who provide us constructive criticism, they serve as if our mirror and gives us an opportunity to improve ourselves, not just our friends but also from others we don't know. If we start to absorb positively even the most negative reaction or criticism coming from others, we become more mature and more flexible as we try to connect more people into our lives.
