Offer Our Best to God

We may developed our gifts for the sake of personal fulfillment. However, our efforts have much deeper meaning when we offer it to the One who gave us such gifts. Excellence is when we learn to offer our best to God.

If we enlarged our capacities in order to honor our God, we should also guard ourselves against the temptations of being proud of them. We should give the credit of our abilities to Him, and acknowledging Him as our source of abilities we have. When we praised for those abilities, we simply say "God thank you for everything you give to Us". We will never feel that our efforts are wasted, especially when we are not shown appreciation for our service to others. We will just remind ourselves that, ultimately, we did it for God. A moderate or average offering is not acceptable to Him. As we work hard to grow our potentials to the fullest, our toil becomes an offering of Thanksgiving to God for entrusting to us those potentials. Our excellence require as to exert our best efforts, compete with ourselves, encourage ourselves to persist and learn to offer our best to our God.
