Alaskan Landscape

My daughter lived in Alaska and I visited her many times.  On most of my visits, I didn't get many great pictures, because it was always overcast.  I don't know whether you know it or not, but Juneau Alaska is in a temperate rain forest and gets over 60 inches of rain a year!  That's worse than Seattle!  One morning, I looked outside and is was very clear.  I borrowed my daughter's car and went looking for cool places to take pictures.  I found one by Auke Lake that looks toward the Mendenhall glacier.  As you can see in the picture below, I got a fantastic picture of the lake with the mountains in the background.  I think there were just enough clouds to make it interesting without blocking out the subject.  I think some pictures that have zero clouds in them are not quite as appealing.
