Not only in Amsterdam..
It's not only in Amsterdam where you can find these kind of boats. I saw them all across the country. This boat used to be for sail for just € 1,- I thought about it but the con is the location on water is quite expensive. And maintaining the boat is a must. If not I would have no problem living there.
I have friends who live on one. The boat and renovation of it to make it livable wasn't even that much. But they pay quite a lot for the location.

hmm nu je het zegt, ik zie ze hier eigenlijk nooit een woonboot onderhouden :D Maar kan me voorstellen dat materiaal in water sneller slijt dan bijv stenen in de openlucht. Vooral met boten die nog daadwerkelijk varen. Maar dit mij ook maar verteld.

Its nice for sure, but It is in the centre of the city. So it can be a bit busy from time to time.

Wow thats very cool stuff.but I wish the foundation of this boat can last long.I think you need much more money for the maintenance.
I think with a bit maintenance the boat will last long. But im not really known with stuff like that.
