Litecoin seems to be even now still much less volitile than Bitcoin. And as you say, more resilient. Maybe Bitcoin Cash will eventually be "like" Litecoin for users. But if its store value is more important than being user's currency, I think Litecoin is preferred for people like me with small business.

I would not buy any right now no. Claim the BCH from BTC you already have by all means but I am not going to be buying any extra BCH at this time.

As a cryptocurrency late adopter I've been testing Bitcoin and Litecoin. If I was going to choose a currency to use as a day to day currency I think I'd choose Litecoin at the moment. Immediate payment is a crucial determining factor. Litecoin is quicker to update and is more dynamic to up and coming technologies. I like Bitcoin and until Segwit I will have to get used to Bitcoin being sooo slow,so won't use it for regular payments at the moment.
Have you played with Dash and tested out it's InstantSend feature? Pretty cool stuff.
