HOW TO: Survive a long distance relationship

Long distance can be tough, this is how I deal..

So I've been in a long distance relationship for almost 2 years with a prince (he's MY prince, NOT an actual person in a crown ruling over a country) and I have never been happier, well... I'll obviously be happier seeing him more often.

For now, while planning the future, here are a few tips on how to make it work:

• Plan the next visit
  Make sure that the day you get on that plane that you know when the next visit is going to be - it gives you both something to look forward to AND there’s the assurance that there is a future

• Communication, communication, communication!!!!!!
  You HAVE to talk, tell them when you are sad, when you are upset, when you are happy and all those feeling. Body language cannot be read over texts.

• Trust is key.
  You can't expect them to sit at home every weekend, people have lives! Trust is obviously earned.. be cautious but don't be an obsessed creep of death.

• Skype??
  Maybe for other couples, but I am personally to inpatient. I cannot deal with bad signal and delays. Yes it’s nice to see each other, so maybe once.. but not every day. (Phone calls, WhatsApp voicenotes and WhatsApp voice calls work for us) #differentstrokes

• Be positive
  It gets hard... Really hard! Just stay positive about the relationship and that it will work, don't let people convince you otherwise.

I hope these tips are useful but also just remember, no relationship can work if the both of you don't truly love each other - I know, I know -> CHEESEBALL
