Hello,

Today i'm gonna share with you a lovely memory...

Every November a swimming race event happens in the beautiful area of the gulf of Vouliagmeni.

Vouliagmeni is a south suburb of Athens.
The event includes 3 swimmming courses:

1. 1000 meters
2. 2500 meters
3. 5000 meters

I participated in 2015 in the 1000 meters course.

2015 was a bad year for me. My basic sport is trail running and because of a serious knee injury i couldn't run...
I was very disappointed, i stopped going to the gym,i stopped caring about my diet,i got extra kilos...

But this event activated me and was the start of my comeback!

I swam the course with slow,but stable tempo,because i wanted to do all the race without stopping.

I swam in free style,i was trying to keep my right leg always in straight line ,because of my knee injury...

That was the best moment...

not only because i finished the race...
because i...

RAN

the last 50 meters out of the water!
Of course i felt pain on my knee,but i didn't care about that in that moment!

1 month later a perfect doctor helped me with my knee problem and next year i had the honor to participate in the XTERRA TRIATHLON.
