The beach itself looks so lonely and desolate, but a quiet day on Lake Ontario where one might expect more visitors. I'm guessing that you are facing southeast, but the distant clouds seem stormy, and if I did not know better I would say that a Nor'easter is a brewin', or perhaps we are seeing it depart. I love the seabirds alongside the driftwood mid-frame which draw your eyes from the scraggly seashore remnants, perhaps from storms passed on the beach to their teeming life and business of living. Striking photo.
Hello mystery person. Who so kindly comments and upvotes on my pictures and blogs. I do not know if you are a he or a she or where you live. There are many visitors to Lake Ontario but in the late spring, summer and fall there are so many more. Even in the height of summer on a very hot day it is not difficult to find empty spots on the beach or along the shore of the lake. The lake is vast. With miles and miles of shoreline. However, Ontario never shows us a Nor'easter. There are and will forever remain an East Coast luxury. The birds are everywhere seaside or lakeside. This is a lake however, one of the 5 Great Lakes and not the seashore as I normally do. Thank you for your comments and your interest in my photos.
Yes, I looked up the location and saw where it was on the map. I also re-read some information about the Lakes themselves. Gordon Lightfoot's ballad, The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald weaves quite a tapestry of their formidable size and power although he's writing about Lake Superior.
Hello Mystery Person. Yes Gordon is popular here with many great songs. Lake Superior is huge. There are five and I have personally seen four. Spent most of my time on Lake Ontario. They are a sight to behold. A favorite thing to do is follow Lake Ontario as it enters the mighty St. Lawrence River.
I can imagine it would be quite a sight to see them, especially on a vacation tour traveling around to visit all five. We have an American folk song regarding working along the Eerie Canal; I always thought it had something to do with Lake Eerie, but I don't really know. Oh, and I'm guessing that you have not yet seen Lake Michigan?

Oh, I thought that it might be Michigan because it is entirely in the U.S.
no worries. I have been to several of the states many many times....that is what lot's of Canadians do. lol
Nice to be able to recharge at the beach.
And away from the daily toil. x
It is nice, however none was taken. No recharge has been found at this point. (:::: not enough time
Awww....so beautiful....almost oceanic!
I know. It is actually a very very nice spot. Away from all the hustle and the bustle. One of Ontario's lovely spots for sure.
Gorgeous shot. The birds awaiting the gentle waves really add to the serene vibe this picture gives off!
A very very favorite Ontario spot, very dear to my heart
