Jueves de sopa/Soup Thursday
Desde que tengo memoria en mi familia se dice que el comer sopa es recargar energía, por la cantidad de nutrientes que tiene la misma además de las vitaminas las hiervas como el perejil, cilantro, cebolla, cebollín y ajíes que se le agregan, en definitiva una bomba nuclear en potencia, cuando estábamos enfermos esa es la comida predilecta para levantar al enfermo. La sopa puede ser de res, de pollo, sopa de pescado y la que llaman cruzado que es una mezcla de la de pollo y la de res, esas son las más famosas, hay quienes la acompañan con arepa y otros con casabe, como venga es deliciosa.

En nuestro hogar estamos haciendo sopa por lo menos dos veces a la semana, porque mi hija no come frutas y una forma de que pueda comer fibras y las vitaminas de las verduras es por medio de la sopa. Tenemos la fortuna de que a nuestros hijos les encanta la sopa y cuando queda la guardamos en la nevera para darles en los días siguientes en crema y así nos aseguramos de que se alimenten bien.
In our home we are making soup at least twice a week, because my daughter does not eat fruits and one way for her to eat fiber and vitamins from vegetables is through soup. We are fortunate that our kids love soup and when there is left over we keep it in the fridge to give them in the following days in cream to make sure they are well fed.
Hoy la sopa fue de res, s preparación es rápida y sencilla porque ya tenía los ingredientes listos en el refrigerador, solo tuve que esperar que el agua estuviese hirviendo para irlos poniendo en orden de los que requieren mayor cocción, carne, yuca, ocumo, auyama. Después de que estaban todos los ingredientes mi amada esposa es la encargada de ponerle el sabor.
Today the soup was beef, its preparation is quick and easy because I already had the ingredients ready in the refrigerator, I just had to wait until the water was boiling to put them in order of those that require more cooking, meat, yucca, ocumo, auyama. After all the ingredients were ready, my beloved wife is in charge of adding the flavor.
El sábado seguramente comeremos sopa en casa de mi amada madre, ella le pone el su toque especial y también le queda deliciosa, claro allí prepara mayor cantidad, porque es para la familia completa, somos en total 12 personas. Para los ingredientes, entre todos compartimos los gastos, es nuestro compartir familiar, una forma de romper con la rutina de la situación. Tenemos que ser creativos y aprovechar los momentos familiares para romper con el distanciamiento social que estamos viviendo, claro todos nos cuidamos, para poder disfrutar de ese día. Y ustedes que hacen para romper con la rutina y el compartir familiar, en mi caso es importante, porque es la única interrelación que tienen mis hijos, el compartir con las primas. Seguimos orando para que la curva de contagio se aplane y empiece a caer.
On Saturday we will surely eat soup at my beloved mother's house, she puts her special touch and it is also delicious, of course there she prepares a larger quantity, because it is for the whole family, we are 12 people in total. For the ingredients, we all share the expenses, it is our family sharing, a way to break with the routine of the situation. We have to be creative and take advantage of family moments to break with the social distancing that we are living, of course we all take care of ourselves, to be able to enjoy that day. And what do you do to break with the routine and family sharing, in my case it is important, because it is the only interrelationship that my children have, sharing with the cousins. We continue to pray that the contagion curve flattens and begins to fall.
No es fácil perseguir nuestros sueños, pero es imposible si no damos el primer paso.
