New here. Challenges. NoSugarNoFlour.

Hey guys,
My name is Marina. I'm from Brazil, but I live in Canada. You probably will see some grammar mistakes here since English is not my first language. Spanish is not my first language either. If you don't know, Brazilians speak Portuguese. ;)

So, I'm reading a lot about blockchain and cryptocurrencies and that's how I got to Steemit. I'm still trying to understand how ir works, but I'll get there soon.

Anyway, the reason for this post is to say that I'm gonna start a new challenge for the next couple months.
Precisely, I'm quitting sugar and flour for the next 4 months. I'm starting today, January 5/2018 and I'll do it until April 4/2018, which is my birthday.

The reason: I'm fat. Really fat. My weight now is in its highest and I'm a short person.

My goal here is to cut off sugar and flour (white or the whole thing). They are the enemies. Carbs are addictive. It's like cocaine or alcohol. And in my opinion, it's even harder to get rid of a bad eating habit than it is to quit alcohol. The reason? You can live without alcohol or drugs, but you can't live without food. Food will always be there, facing you, asking to be eaten, challenging you, saying "come to mama" and you will have to eat it to survive.

The challenge is to deny what you should not eat, which usually is very delicious. Oh man, that's not easy. I've been trying for a couple years.

So, I'm gonna be sharing my thoughts, cravings and craziness in the next days. It's not going to be an easy thing to do and I hope to show you how hard and interesting this journey can be.
