ORIGIN OF THE FIRE

It is transparent and burns by radiation. In the way in which we approach the fire we can suffer burns
FIRE TRIANGLE
It is the graphic representation of the fire composed of three cathetes that we define below.
Oxygen: it is 21% in the environment
Temperature: it is the lowest temperature above normal where a body burns
Matter: in its liquid, solid or gaseous state. As an example we find in solids (wood, paper, plastics, etc), in gaseous (domestic gas, industrial), and in liquids (petroleum derivatives)
VENTILATION
As an example, when we have the perception of the smell of gas in the kitchen, we should not turn on lights, phosphorus, etc., without first doing the ventilation of the place. We open doors and windows and proceed to control the leak

We have three types of fire

Domestic and industrial
To fight fires we must deactivate the fire triangle eliminating one of its components
How to eliminate the temperature
We do it by cooling using extinguishing agent, water, CO2 carbon dioxide extinguisher
How to eliminate oxygen
We do it by drowning reducing the oxygen of the environment from 25% to 10% using the extinguishing agent, dry chemical powder, in other cases we use sand, etc.
How to eliminate the matter
We do it by removal moving the matter to a safe place where the fire does not expand and by confinement, which is when we isolate the material that is burned so that it does not expand
FIRE PREVENTION
Prevention of domestic and industrial fires
Storage of dry materials
• They can not be glued to walls and electrical wires because these are heat conductors
• Classify the product separating them from each other, a space of 60 cm
Storage of chemical products
• Must be in a ventilated area
• The containers must be properly sealed and identified
• The lighting of the tank must be based on fluorescent lights, which does not generate heat
• The containers or must be in contact with the floor
Prevention of fires due to electrical causes
• Wiring according to the power consumption
• It takes current without defects
• Electrical connections in good condition
Prevention of forest fires
