One of Our Favorite Christmas Decorations
This is one of my favorite Christmas Decorations we have had in one form or another since I was a child. This one, we bought during a visit to Germany, and it is now at my son's house.
It is one of the taller versions and the candles in the picture a little too short to make it spin fast. The heat of the flame rises up and hits the wooden paddles and makes them move.
The one I had during my childhood is now at my daughter's house.

Don't forget to sand me Christmas present🎁.😂
hahaha. I gave up giving presents long ago. People already have what they need...... but giving you an upvote lol
For some reasons - I don't know why - this is called Weihnachtspyramide - even it doesn't have the shape of a pyramid at all. On my post about the Wuerzburg Christmas market is a huge version for outside. This kind of Christmas Dekoration originates in the south of Saxony (southeast Germany, i grew up around the corner) or Bavaria from regions with ancient mining sectors. People in this regions used to be very poor and carving these decorations in the dark, long winter nights created a second source of income for them. Ia not sure if yours come from Saxony or Bavaria (or is made in China - which is possible too nowadays... 😝)
Danke!! Ich hatte den Deutschen Namen vergessen. It is a little bit pyramid shaped - I can see that people who never saw a pyramid would have given it that name...
