Find Waldo in my Garden: November 10 2019
Every morning, I see the crows taking off with some pecans off one of my trees. Yelling and screaming does not impress them. They keep coming back for more.
If I want to get some, I have to go on a daily Find Waldo hunt. The crows drop some or the fall when they shake the branches as they are invading the tree.
If I don’t pick them up quickly, another critter will get them for sure. Some are easy to see. I cheated a bit in the photo since I threw a lot on the ground. Usually, it is just one among lots of leaves.
First, it seems there are none. But if you stand still and look, before you know it, you see more and more. Despite all the thievery, I have about 5 lbs of nuts collected by now.
All I have to is play Find Pecan several times a day 😀
The sun is still shining and no rain in the San Diego forecast. How is it at your place now?

I found six of them kind of in a circle, might be more, but I did see six, I' pretty sure they were pecans I was looking at. Our constant rain let up a little bit for the weekend, still was foggy both mornings, and frosty, and cold 30 F. but so far no snow. life in November in Alaska Kenai area.
When do you usually get snow? I always imagined Alaska to be covered with snow by now.

In the Kenai and Soldotna area, we used to get our first snowfall on Halloween. I think the last time it snowed on Halloween though has been at least 3 years. In the early 2000's til about 2010 it used to be about October 15th. Most of the tourist are advised if they drive to Alaska then start back no later than September 15th, just to be on the safe side and to make it down through Canada. Our first real snow last year was on about the 11th of November, only about an inch and a half. It did not last on the ground long, so we should be getting some snow soon.
I hope so. I know that you as an individual are cold and might want the cold to stay away longer, but we do need Alaska to stay cold and frozen...
Oh I see them! It helped to zoom in. But I would certainly has missed them.
Omg, it's so hard for me to find one in the photos! Must be a problem with my eye sight.
