People often turn into cannibals without knowing it. Whether we talk about work colleagues or friends or clients or fans or lovers, anyone who demands anything from you through blackmail mainly emotional (aka guilt trips or love attacks) is a potential cannibal and you should take a distance from as soon as you notice. It is true though that you may end up quite lonely doing that, because it is more often than sparse that people will come up with a good reason why you should give them what they want. Mark my words that people who deserve your love, support and friendship don't need to ask for it. They already have it. They don't need to create circumstances under which you will be drawn close to them or you will feel the need to co operate or hang around with them and they definately won't attack your life and personal space in a demanding way. They will not call you selfish, nor lazy, or ungrateful or highlight how much they have done for you when you haven't. In few words those who really respect you won't try to buy you, manipulate you or give you guilt trips.

Why?

Because people who respect you and care for you, know their motives are pure and clean and trust you to act upon your free will. Those who have a personal agenda and want you to satisfy their own desires are the ones who need to do things for you before you even ask them and in this way create the circumstances for you to act through conciousness and fall in their pot.

How to become free?

Cut the cords with what they have provided you with. If it's money, find an alternative source of income or learn to live without this additional tip. If it's attention, realize that needing attention is an emotional weakness and take steps to self love. If it's companionship you seek, find it elsewhere.

You are wonderful and unique and obviously you came to this world to share your charismas with the world...and accept the love of the world for what you share with them. But beware; You are not here to sell your attention to those who are supposingly appreciative of those charismas!

Unless you want to be eaten to death by those who think you look delicicious...

We are all sons and daughters of mother nature, who herself is the owner of all gifts and talents and spreads them out to her children, creating unique and beautiful creatures. Each one of us hides some magic within to share with the world as our mother did. Above all we are free to do so upon our free will.
