Thinking today about what kind of dessert I should prepare, I involuntarily remembered France. What dessert came to us from France? Of course, croissants. These are the favorite treats of all sweet tooths in the world.

The main secret of proper croissants is puff yeast dough. It is not difficult to prepare, and the recipe is easy to find on the Internet.

To prepare the dough, I took:

  • Milk - 300 ml
  • Flour - 0.5 kg
  • Dry yeast
  • Butter - 350 g
  • Sugar
  • Salt.

We sift the flour, add sugar, salt, yeast, 50 g of butter, gradually pour in milk and mix with a mixer for 10 minutes. Then I knead the dough by hand, put it in a separate bowl and cover it with plastic wrap. I'm waiting for it to rise tightly. When it has risen, I roll it into a rectangle.

Next, I put a piece of butter on the dough and fold it like an envelope. I roll it tightly again, fold it in 4 times and put it in the refrigerator for half an hour.

When the dough has been in the fridge long enough, I roll it out again and divide it into small triangles. I put the filling on the triangles. This time I used a different filling. I have cherry and gooseberry jam, chocolate and thick raspberry juice. I used all this to fill the croissants. I wrap these triangles in bagels. I put the croissants on parchment paper and give them some time to rise. Next, I heat the oven to 200 degrees and bake the croissants for 20 minutes. Croissants are considered ready when a ruddy crust appears.

That's all, the croissants are ready. Now all you need is to make yourself a cup of tea or coffee. You also need a good mood and company, because eating alone is not so pleasant.
