Hallo Steemians!

During this time, most of us assume that being "realistic" means having a target that we will definitely achieve. If the target is difficult to achieve, or can not be achieved, it will be called "unrealistic", even some say it is just a dream, will not be achieved. So, select the exact one, not too high. Therefore I try to illustrate what I feel on the canvas to unleash all the turbulent things in my mind and my mind.

Go back to the main issues. Generally, people choose to be "realistic" for fear of disappointment when what they want is not achieved, "the higher the fall, the more ill becomes." That is the paradigm that is often held, because it is better for them to achieve what is possible to reach by ordinary people. Is it really realistic, or is it just making people the same as them, or is it "pity" to us?

But, what is it, like that which is called realistic? What if we dream it then we become unrealistic? Then, how is the story of a successful young woman, 26 years old, Merry Riana? What about the young American mayor, John Taylor Haymon? What about blind, deaf and dumb activists, Hellen Keller? What about the little 7-year-old surgeon, Akrit Jaswal? A leading scientist almost paralyzed, Stephen Hawking? A reliable pianist who only has 4 fingers, Hee Ah Lee? and Igor Platinov, a hands-free swimmer?

Stuck On Reality

When we are faced with the reality of our life that may be "scary", which makes us down. Often we are influenced by the views that are around us. Make us fixate on the habits that are around us. Often hurt by disappointment, makes us afraid to try for fear of being disappointed. But, do not we feel that we are now being trapped by the reality around us? We are trapped by the "habits" that are around us. We are forced to "narrow" our view only to what is around us. We are invited to be curbed by a chain of fear of disappointment. We are trapped by the "crisis of reality" around us.

Will it lead us to true happiness? No, of course. Our attitudes like that force us to harbor our desires and dreams, which we consider unrealistic. Unfortunately, our way does not make our desires and dreams go away, but they are lurking behind our subconscious, trying to get out into our consciousness. Make us often suddenly become a bad mood, feel empty, not meaningful, bored with life, etc.. Unfortunately, the desires and dreams are never diminished. More and more day, more and more. Because human is never satisfied, always wants more.

In addition, we will never get something (not just treasure) that more than people in general, we just get "the same" or less than the people in general. We do not become "special". Yet each of us must expect to be "special". Nor do we gain significant progress from ourselves. Since we never have high targets, we never try to exceed our "current" limits. So, we get just "just", like our target is also "just" it.

Really Unrealistic?

Considering something realistic or not, is to take into account whether something is achievable or not, right? Something that is not certain will be achieved, not necessarily can not be achieved right? Therefore, it is not realistic to achieve the "definitely", but to achieve what we can achieve. How the hell so we can achieve that? Through effort, strategy, and learning are commensurate with the necessary course. By working hard, always trying, always learning to be better, thinking of what kind of ways will make us achieve our goals.

A Hellen Keller, in his life, he never saw that being an activist or writing a book was impossible for him. He is just trying to find his own "way" to overcome the challenges in his life and ideals. A Stephen Hawking, did not decide that the paralysis would end his career and his dedication to science just because of his paralysis. He does not consider being a scientist, with a body like that just a dream. He proved it, he made it happen. He too, may have a different "way" with other scientists. He optimizes everything he has, which still works well, his brain.

So it is with a Hee Ah Lee, and Igor Platinov, they do not make their shortcomings a hindrance. They only need to find their own "way". No need to be perfect, just to reach the goal, and feel the happiness of meaningfulness of life. Similarly, Merry Riana and John Tyler Haymons, they do not make the age factor a significant problem. They create opportunities, in their own way.

The obstacles are not our current state, nor our current deficiencies and limitations. All that can actually be overcome, but can we fight our thoughts and "temptations" from outside ourselves? Can we keep our motivation high to consistently fight? Basically, the skills and opportunities that we can enlarge with the efforts, strategies and learning that we do. No matter what the limitations are, there will always be a way to reach them. Because God will not test His people beyond the ability of the people.

Probably not the same way in the usual way, but the way out will always be there. Maybe that way requires more effort, maybe that way is not exactly what we want. But there will always be ways, which also make us feel happy and meaningful. What matters is not the percentage of success that is 100% or that should be almost 100%. But in order for our purpose to be achieved, that we may feel the meaning of our dreams, that we become truly happy and feel the "meaningfulness" in life. Not only are we happy people, but also the people around us. In addition, we can be an inspiration to the people around us, we become "special". And, we too will get more "skill", because we try harder, to realize our big dreams.

Whatever we can achieve, provided we really struggle to get it. Therefore, being realistic is not what percentage of success is with our current circumstances, but what is the percentage of success we are successfully improving with our efforts, strategies and lessons?

So?

So, Realistic is not taking a definite step. Instead, do something that makes it realistic to achieve. Even if it requires more "pay". Having a dream, not unrealistic. What makes it realistic or not is our "effort" to make it happen. Realistic or not is not a limitation, but a challenge.

Note:

  • This article is the result of my inexperience experiance that has been insecure and felt useless only because I always see my life unlike the lives of my friends. But after I tried to change my perspective on realistic or unrealistic life, I finally felt a lot of positive things that I got from all those things, thanks to my friends who always give support and encouragement, thanks also for all of you who have stopped and read this article.

  • And all the works that are displayed here are the fruit of thoughts and brush strokes from my itchy fingers and want to dance with the paint and my imaginary world.

  • Some of my works listed above are works I made from the year 2017. Everything I made while I was studying the art of my lecturer who always held a study in the afternoon Friday on my campus.

  • I use acrylic paint and duplex paper that has slippery surfaces only on the one hand.

Thank you for visiting my blog and reading my post. I hope that you learned something useful from this post and you can enjoyed. God Bless You!

Thank you so much @artzone.curators and @web-gnar :)
You are really awesome, love you guys!

I think that realism follows very clear patterns, if you get away from that, it no longer qualifies as realism. I feel that you do not have many freedoms to experience new things because it must always be the same way. It is more difficult to shape something that does not have it, such as non-realistic drawings or paintings. Making sense of the mess, is not easy and I feel that there may be more skill in that. It is my way of thinking, being me someone who is a fan of realism. I feel it is better to try things where you have more freedoms. Excellent post, greetings.

Yes, sir!
A very good suggestion, I really appreciate it. Thank you for stopping by, reading and commenting on my post :)
