The Museum of the Mazovian Countryside in Sierpc, Poland is a unique place. Interiors of houses. (part 5)
Hello, today I am taking you back to a very well-known place from my posts full of magic of old times - my uncle's open-air museum. I will take you inside the houses to introduce you to the old Polish village in Mazovia.
The Museum of the Village in Sierpc has been collecting exhibits belonging to the folk culture from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries of Northwest Mazovia for many years. An important element is the layout of the presentation in the interiors of houses and farm buildings. Their decor is the result of many years of research and work, the aim of which was to recreate the living space in the most consistent manner with reality. Original pieces of equipment, such as wooden spoons, bowls, saganas, tables, benches, barriers and many other objects fill the chambers and cottages. Exhibitions prepared in individual rooms reflect both the social status of a given host and the period to which the given exhibition refers.
