Rickysphotochallenge Week 11 Entry - Architecture

These are the "Salmhuisjes" in the Amsterdam Zoo, Artis. They were designed by G.B. Salm in 1874-75. Their original function was a storage-room for rice, but after a thorough restoration in 2013 they now house several studio's for artists, as well as some offices that belong to the zoo.

The Salmhuisjes are considered a National Monument.

Location : Plantage Muidergracht, Amsterdam.
