Over 350.000 visitors, over 50 locations, more than 600 DJ's. It's MASSIVE !!
We were at one of the best technoparties in the world, Awakenings. A name that has provided the best that techno has to offer for over 20 years. At the traditional location : the Gashouder in the Westerpark.
The party ended at 8 a.m. but we weren't done yet!

At The School in Amsterdam West a 62 hour dancemarathon is being organized. We were there today, from 9 a.m. till 3 p.m.
Both parties were fantastic! We're FUBAR right now, but it was definitely worth it.

Nice one! Awakenings I liked better in its early years, Back then it brought so many names for the first time to NL. Now it is simply programming the hot and top DJs, not bad, bad no innovation in music anymore. Even their Festival. I prefer clubs like Shelter and De School. They program the upcoming and new generation of artists. But yeh, I respect Awakenings, they meant a whole lot for the Dutch Techno scene. BTW, Time Warp is another concept that is massive good IMHO wrt Techno.
True dat! Nevertheless : Sven Väth performed last weekend 😁. After Awakenings we went to De School.....until about 15:00.
I was at De School on Sunday late afternoon till Monday morning :) Maarten/Jasper had by far the best set from all who played the time I was there. Even Nina and Sandrien could not top them. I posted about this in my channel if you are interested :)
How was Sven? Techno techno? Or? He is a very good DJ, but I do not always (well many times actually) his sets, but from time to time he is excellent!
