The lion's den
Daniel 6: 1-9 - It seemed good to Darius to set up over the kingdom one hundred and twenty satraps, to rule over the whole kingdom. 2 And over them were three governors, of whom Daniel was one, to whom these satraps gave an account, so that the king might not be harmed. 3 But Daniel himself was superior to these satraps and governors, because there was a superior spirit in him; and the king thought of putting it over the whole kingdom. 4 Then the governors and satraps sought an opportunity to accuse Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find no occasion or fault, because he was faithful, and no vice or fault was found in him. 5 Then said those men: We will not find against this Daniel occasion to accuse him, if we do not find it against him in relation to the law of his God. 6 Then these governors and satraps were gathered before the king, and they said to him, "King Darius, live forever!" 7 All the governors of the kingdom, magistrates, satraps, princes and captains have agreed by counsel to promulgate a royal edict and confirm it, that anyone who in the space of thirty days demands the request of any god or man besides you, O king, be cast into the lions' den. 8 Now, O king, confirm the edict and sign it, so that it can not be revoked, according to the law of Media and Persia, which can not be abrogated. 9 So King Darius signed the decree and the prohibition.
The life and ministry of Daniel covered the entire seventy-year period of Israel's captivity for Babylon. Daniel was deported to Babylon at the age of 16, and was chosen to serve King Nebuchadnezzar; but before he had to go through three years of training (Daniel 1: 3-7).
As we can see, the training was designed with a great purpose, their diet changed, their names would change, and everything with the purpose of losing their Jewish identity, but Daniel remained faithful to God refusing to take part of the mandates that the king had given (Daniel 1: 8-9), and his faithfulness was rewarded (Daniel 1: 17-20). So knowing Daniel a little better let's analyze what is happening here.
When we analyze what is happening here we realize that there was a conspiracy against Daniel. These other men were jealous of him and wanted to remove him from his ways. He had been placed in a position of great power, but not only that, his position was more powerful than theirs. We must stop here for a few moments and ask ourselves, did this conspiracy start on the part of these men? The answer is no.
As we all know, satan is very clever in his way of doing things. He will use all means available and to have to obtain the results he seeks, and that result is to separate man from God. In this case we can see that I use the demons of jealousy and greed. He used these men to forbid praying to the true God.
We can ask ourselves, why? But the answer is easy. Satan is not stupid, he is very, very intelligent, he knows that he does not have demons available in his kingdom that can be faced against the prayer of a faithful Christian. Let's ask ourselves now, does this conspiracy continue today? The answer is yes.
All we have to do is look around and we can see that the conspiracy still exists. Prayer is not allowed in schools, but there are no problems that our youth walk around with hearing aids listening to satanic music.
Recently there is also a movement that wants to stop students from stopping to recite the oath of national alliance, and all this because it contains the words "a nation under God".
Let's not stop at schools alone, let's look at what we are allowing to enter our homes through television and radio. You can no longer watch a television program or listen to a radio program without listening to or seeing ads from psychics, spiritual healers and sex phone numbers.
Is there this same conspiracy in all this? Surely if, when we become partakers of them, these things take us away from God. I ask you, due to situations, problems or difficulties, have you stopped praying or looking for a solution through God? Are you so worried that you do not remember God exists?
Daniel 6:10 - When Daniel learned that the edict had been signed, he entered his house, and opened the windows of his chamber that faced Jerusalem, knelt three times a day, and prayed and thanked before his God, as I used to do it before.

The question we must ask ourselves is, are we faithful to God at all times?
Unfortunately, when we are honest with ourselves in our response to this question, the answer is that we are not faithful to God. Most people are faithful to God when things are going well, but when situations get a bit difficult, we close the doors and windows of our hearts and lock ourselves in our own difficulties.
In other words, we allow the lying demon to stop us and we begin to suffer because of our infidelity. Satan wanted Daniel to be killed, he wanted to destroy him to use as an example, so other people would fear to pray to God.
I ask you, has this ever happened to anyone here? Has the devil tried to destroy them? Destroy in the sense of the way we think or act; destroy our life at home; destroy our financial life; destroy in the way that God wants us to be.
I am sure that all of us here have passed or are going through similar or similar situations to those that I have exposed to you. Our enemy will try to drown us in self-pity, make us lose our peace with our families with demons of jealousy, lust, greed.
The question here is, are we letting it be done? Are we letting Satan impose a law that prevents us from praying? When was the last time any of us stopped before making a decision to ask the Father to guide us?
We all have to pray to be guided.
We all have to choose the time to say "Father, what should I do?" There is nothing wrong in asking God to guide us, and we do not have to hide to do it either. There is nothing wrong with taking the time to pray before making a decision.
Daniel surpassed the limits of logic and human reasoning thanks to the powerful hand of God who cared for him and joined the faith that he felt for God first as he left the furnace heated seven times more by Nebuchadnezzar and then to live with lions in these two circumstances were Jesus Christ, "one with the appearance of an angel" and the other "the lion" of the tribe of Judah,

Hmmm!!!! If God is on your side who can stand against you?
The extraordinary confidence of Daniel in God and the wonderful love of God for Daniel. God will always free us from the claws of any beast that attacks the chosen ones of God. No matter the den of the lions, the important thing is to trust in our eternal God. Blessings.
