Jonah is a prophet of Jehovah. after the death of the prophet Elisha, Jehovah says to Jonah: Go to the great city of Nineveh. The wickedness of the people there is very great, and I want you to talk to them about it. '

Jonah does not want to go. then he goes on a ship that goes in the opposite direction to Nineveh. Jehovah does not like Jonah to flee. That's why it causes a big storm. It's so bad that the ship is going to sink. The sailors are very frightened, and they cry to their gods to help them.
Jonas realizes his mistake and asks the Mariners to throw him overboard, to calm the hira of God.
'Throw me into the sea, and the sea will calm down,' says Jonah. The sailors do not want to do this, but when the storm gets worse, they throw Jonah into the sea. Then the storm stops, and the sea is calm again.
When Jonah sinks into the water, a big fish swallows it. But he does not die. For three days and three nights it is in the belly of that fish. Jonah is very sorry not to have obeyed Jehovah and gone to Nineveh.
Jonah prays to Jehovah and asks for help. Then Jehovah causes the fish to vomit Jonah on the dry land. Later, Jonah goes to Nineveh.
