Probably the most well-known scripture regarding Christian coexistence
is Hebrews 10: 24-25:
"Let us consider one another to stimulate us to love and to good works; not leaving to congregate us".

If we want to understand more deeply the importance of living together as God's people, the context of this passage can be of great help.

Hebrews 10 begins by referring to Christ's sacrifice and how it made possible the forgiveness of sins. He also explains that the sacrifices made by the priests of Israel did not grant this forgiveness nor could they reconcile the people with God. The only way to "enter the Holy of Holies" (to present ourselves before God) is to cleanse us from sin through the sacrifice of Christ, our new High Priest (19-22).

Further on, Hebrews describes the collective duty of Christians, the way we should behave and the benefits of remaining united.Uplifting and encouraging
The mere fact of living together is not enough; The most important thing is how we do it. As Hebrews 10:24 says, good coexistence implies considering "one another to stimulate us to love and good works". It is not enough to be all in the same place at the same time to obtain positive results. The spiritual benefits only come when our coexistence is uplifting and encouraging.

That is why the apostle Paul urges the members of the Church in Corinth to consider one another as members of the same body, "so that there is no disagreement in the body, but that the members all care for one another . So if one member suffers, all members grieve with him, and if one member receives honor, all members with him rejoice. You, then, are the body of Christ, and members each in particular "(1 Corinthians 12: 25-27).

Here I am with my brothers is Christ, we were the winning team on the exhibition of the life of Jonas. I did not paint a lot, but I made an effort.

It is interesting to note that Paul first describes Christians as part of the Body, and then as members in the individual. This is the kind of union and security that our coexistence should produce.

Now, what should we not do when we congregate with the brothers? Paul gives us an example in the same letter saying: "But in announcing this to you that follows, I do not praise you; because you do not gather for the best, but for the worst. For in the first place, when you come together as a church, I hear that there are divisions among you; and partly I believe it "(1 Corinthians 11: 17-18).

The simple act of gathering together does not fulfill the purpose of Christian coexistence. It is the way we treat each other that makes the difference. Our coexistence must always be following the example that Christ left us: "if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have communion with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin" (1 John 1: 7).
