Weekend trip to Italy - Part 2/5 - The little village called Campagnola and its surroundings
The finca were we stayed was beautiful. They had a really big garden with a pool and 3 chickens that probably had the best life a chicken could imagine, because they had so much room to roam. We had the eggs for breakfast in the morning and you can really taste the difference. They also had a lemon tree and I was amazed how good the juice from a lemon can taste! Even compared to the organic ones you can get in Germany - it was such a difference. The dog you can see on the picture is the 9 year old Maya. It was love at first sight! :-)
The village was really small, like only a few houses. There were more villages like that all around, also very small.
Five minutes from the house, in the middle of nowhere, was this amazing outdoor bar that was open from like 2pm till 2am. It started to fill up at like 5 pm and was absolutely packed by night. It was so weird, because at night there were like 100 people from 20-50 years old and everyone dressed really well. Marco, the bar owner, happened to also be a Gin lover and made the best Gin & Tonics for only 5 €! Needles to say, that we´ve been to that bar every day.. :-D
Last but not least a picture of the best Bruschetta I´ve ever had with Mozzarella di Bufala Campana:
Thank you for reading! Next post will be the visit of the beautiful Modena!
Italy is beautiful. I'd love to visit someday but thanks for taking me there now with your lovely photos!
It really is! What suprised me the most, was that there are so many different places to explore. There is so much to see and every place got its own charme.. Will post more in the next days like Modena, the Ferrari museum and Lake Garda.
