Rain breaks the heatwave, what a blessing!

Since the beginning of the weekend we have been in the grip of a heatwave. ( Centurion, South Africa). Temperatures ranged between 36 and 38 degrees centigrade.
We spent most of the time in the pool and cooling down with a chilled beer or two.
After day three this however became to much as one struggled to sleep in the heat!
Then the blessing arrived yesterday afternoon in the form of a wonderful thunderstorm!! We received 24 mm of rain which nourished everything that is alive! We are so blessed!

Look at the beautiful rain!

Within minutes the garden showed new life. Wonderfull!
