Aircooled Hooligans Christmas charity drive

Yesterday evening we attended a wonderful Christmas charity drive hosted by the Aircooled Hooligans. Money and goods were collected to support the Rainbow children's village. This non profit organisation cares for underprivileged, abused and HIV positive children. Currently they have about 200 stay-in children.
We gathered late afternoon at Mc Donalds where we showcased our aircooled VWs. Obviously most of the discussions were about engines, paintwork and interiors!
All of the cars were decorated with Christmas lights and tinsel such as the Beetle above! We caused quite a stir driving on the highway with around twenty Christmas decorated cars!

On this picture @rynow and myself is posing at my 1973 chocolate colored 1600 Beetle.

Rough and tough CAT Beetle!

What a beautiful Splitty! I would love to own this one!
Some of the children that the goods were donated to. They sang beautiful songs for us and had a Marimba band that entertained us.
It was a lovely evening and I am already looking forward to next year.
It also made me realise how much I have to be tankful for even though one sometimes think that you have been dealt a bad hand!
Cheers 🍻🍻🍻
