Colorchallenge, Thursday green
A couple of weeks ago we visited the Hartebeespoortdam. The dam was filled with water hyacinth which an indiginous aquatic plant from the Amazon basin.
The invasion is of such epic proportions that the boats on the dam is engulfed by them and cannot go anywhere!
This hyacinth is one of the worlds worst weeds and I think you can see why!

Gosh....that weed really can be a real problem! What are they doing about it?
They have been fighting it for years but it seems like a lost battle
Surely there is something that can be created to manually remove it!
